Jewelry Project

Making this lariat takes time, but the result is well worth it.

DoubleStrandLariat

Materials needed
2 x 1m of Nylon Thread
Selection of seed beads
4mm Crystals
4 large Feature beads (complimentary
colors to seed beads)
Super Glue (always follow the manufacturer’s health and safety instructions)

Tip
Make sure you have good lighting and a
comfy chair as this project will take a
few hours to complete.
Space the crystals out every 2-3 cm to
give your necklace extra sparkle.

Step One
Tie a double knot at one end of each of the lengths of nylon. Put a dab of super glue on the knot to keep it secure. Allow to dry properly, as it will make the beads if it is still wet.

Step Two
Thread on three or four seed beads on to the nylon and then a feature bead.

Step Three
Thread the seed beads and crystal beads in a random pattern until you have 10cm of thread left. Thread another feature bead and three or four seed beads, then tie a double knot. Place a dab of glue on the knot to keep it secure.
This completes one strand of the Lariat. Follow the same instructions for the second strand.
