4mm Crystal
Earwires
Tips
Use complimentary colored seed beads and crystals. Create an additional earring drop to
be used as necklace pendant to create a set.
Step One
Make 18 wire arches using headpins as follows:
Cut the flat end off the head pin and bend the centre of the pin over the widest part of the round nose pliers. On each end of the curve, thread a seed bead followed by a flower spacer, then another seed bead. Using combination pliers, grip both ends of the pin, approximately 8mm from the top of the curve and bend to form a right angle. Then make a small loop on each end.
Step Two
Make up 12 crystal loops (6 per earring) by threading a 4mm crystal onto a head pin, then cut the head pin to leave ¼ inch of wire. Make a loop with round nose pliers.
Step Three
Using a head pin form a right angle ¼ inch from the end and make a loop. Cut the flat end off the opposite end of the pin and thread on your metal feature bead. Form a right angle and cut the head pin to leave ¼ inch of wire and then make a loop.
Step Four
Open the loop of the earwire and attach the metal feature bead. Close the loop.
Step Five
Open the bottom loop of the metal feature bead and attach one wire arch. Connect the wire arches so you have five rows: one arch in the first row, two arches in the second row, three arches in the third row, two arches in the fourth row, and one arch in the final row (see main photo)
Step Six
Attach the crystal loops to the ends of the third, fourth and final row (see main photo).
