Brightly colored cord and focal beads make a great combination

Materials needed
Linen or Cotton Cord
Heart Shape Beads
Metal beads suitable for cord
Tip
Wear over a long sweater. Make the cord shorter or longer as desired.
Step One
Take a length of cord approx 135cm long (54 Inches). Starting about 2 1/2 inches in (6 cm) make a knot in the cord. Now thread on a metal bead, a heart shape bead and another metal bead. Now make another knot to secure the beads.
Step Two
From the last knot, measure about 2 ½ inches (6 cm) and make another knot. Thread on a metal bead and a heart shape bead followed by a metal bead as before and knot. Now continue to repeat the pattern allowing room to knot the ends together to slip the necklace over the head. The bead will move a little between the knots and this is part of the flowing style.
